Customer Reviews

“ This place is everything I was look for in a restaurant: friendly, affordable, locally sourced ingredients, and amazingly prepared food. Often, I’m not able to find all of these qualities the same place, but Court Square Cafe has ‘em all. I came for breakfast and got a homemade biscuit with sausage gravy and pork belly on the side. Everything was so, so delicious — best biscuit and gravy I’ve ever had! The pork belly was crispy and melted in my mouth. I’ll be coming back every time I pass through the area. Very excited to try lunch items and pizza too! ”

“ This was a nice surprise. I had seen posts stating it was a.good place to visit. So today, I payed the Court Square Cafe a visit. And I wasn't disappointed. I had the Chicken BBQ pizza. The pickled red onions added a delicious tast to the pizza. And the sweet tea was true brewed tea. Will stop again next time I'm in town. ”

“ Such a jewel in Alton, MO! Pizza was fantastic (had sausage & mozz and a pepperoni & pickled red onion), piping hot, and made with thoughtfully selected LOCAL ingredients! The list of local suppliers they support is posted on their menu and on a chalkboard behind the counter. Even sourcing the best local ingredients, they've kept prices totally reasonable! They also have great coffees/espresso drinks if it's too early for pizza. Highly recommend, and we will definitely be back! ”

“ Me and a buddy stopped in here for dinner on a Thursday night after a 2 day float trip on the eleven point. We just shared a sausage and pepperoni pizza and it was really good and cooked to a nice crisp on the edges. My buddy bought some of the bread on the counter and that was really good and I could see making a sandwich outta some of that. I just had water but my friend really enjoyed the iced tea. The pizza didnt take long and we got to chat with Thomas the owner for a bit. They serve breakfast also which is something maybe ill try if back down there again. I know me and my buddy are talking about a longer float trip so on the eleven point so im sure ill keep this in mind. The small alton missouri town square is nice to wonder around a bit if your from a big city. ”

“ ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Court Square Cafe is a hidden gem in Alton, MO, perfect for anyone floating the Eleven Point River. After a wonderful day on the river with Hufstedler's Canoe Outfitter, my girlfriend and I stopped by for lunch and had an amazing Pepperoni Jalapeno Pizza. It was incredibly flavorful and perfectly cooked. The atmosphere at Court Square Cafe is laid-back and welcoming, with great music adding to the overall vibe. We felt right at home and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The menu offers a variety of options, from pizza and burrito bowls to local specialties like the Oregon County Plate, made with fresh, local ingredients. You can also find delicious sandwiches, salads, and sides that cater to all tastes. If you're looking for a great place to eat after your river trip with Hufstedler's, I highly recommend Court Square Cafe. It's a fantastic spot to relax and refuel. We'll definitely be back! ”

“ Oh my goodness! So delicious. I had the Italian beef sandwich and my husband had the open face roast sandwich. The meat was melt in the mouth tender! We shared the bread pudding. Fantastic. ”

“ Not like fast food pizza, more like a old town pizza place in Springfield Mo in the 80s near SMSU in Springfields, Mo. which now is called MSU. The crust is nice & crispy but little on the hard side. ”
